On behalf of the children, staff and governors at Higham St. John's, I would like to wish you a warm welcome to our school website. Higham St. John’s is a wonderful place to be and I feel privileged to be a part of our very special community.
We aim to provide an education that develops all children to their full potential. We seek to ignite curiosity and a life-long enthusiasm for learning within a safe, happy and creative environment. Our Christian ethos and values underpin all we aim to do and we encourage our children to respect one another and be kind. We have high expectations at Higham St. John’s and support every child to try their best in all they do. The children come to school keen to learn and willing to work hard and as a result, make very good progress and achieve well across the full range of subjects.
We nurture children's individual talents through providing a diverse curriculum and by offering a wide range trips, experiences and extra-curricular activities. If you would like to arrange a visit to our school or would like further information, please visit our contacts page.
Best wishes, Mrs Shaw
Follow us at highamstjohnsschool on Instagram to see regular photographs and updates detailing what is happening in school. It's easy to find us as our profile picture is our official school logo. Parents told us in a recent survey that they would like to see us on social media. We had previously used X (formerly Twitter) but have now launched our profile on Instagram instead. Weekly newsletters will now no longer regularly feature photographs as these will be posted on Instagram instead. To avoid disappointment, make sure you follow us so that you can enjoy photographs of your children enjoying school life here at Higham St John's C E Primary School. A quick link to our Instagram account can also be found on the homepage of our school website.
We are thrilled to share the news that we have reached our fundraising total towards our all-weather track for the field! Thank you all of our families, past and present, who have helped us to raise £4,775 over the past two years. Our exciting all-weather track will be built during the six-week holiday period over the summer and will therefore hopefully be ready to use on our return to school in September. Amazing!
Our new school website is now live! Congratulations: if you are viewing this news item, you have successfully downloaded our updated School Jotter 3 mobile app! Please bear with us over the next few weeks whilst we ensure all of the content on our new website is current and up-to-date. We have been keeping the old website running whilst having content migrated to our Jotter 3 platform and also building new content so there are a few bits and pieces we still need to do to make sure everything is where it should be. We hope you enjoy taking a look around the new website and we welcome any feedback. The website has been designed so that everything should only be two to three clicks away from the homepage so it should be much easier to navigate. Thank you to all of the children who had their photographs taken for our new website. The professional photographer really enjoyed working with you all! Best wishes, Mrs Shaw
