Welcome
On behalf of the children, staff and governors at Higham St. John's, I would like to wish you a warm welcome to our school website. Higham St. John’s is a wonderful place to be and I feel privileged to be a part of our very special community.
We aim to provide an education that develops all children to their full potential. We seek to ignite curiosity and a life-long enthusiasm for learning within a safe, happy and creative environment. Our Christian ethos and values underpin all we aim to do and we encourage our children to respect one another and be kind. We have high expectations at Higham St. John’s and support every child to try their best in all they do. The children come to school keen to learn and willing to work hard and as a result, make very good progress and achieve well across the full range of subjects.

Vegetable Sale today after school!
The children have this morning helped to harvest the vegetables from our raised beds. We have potatoes, lettuces, spring onions, a few cabbages and some spinach. We also have some mint plants to buy. Today after school there will be a stall on the school yard. Everything must go! There are no set prices, we just request donations towards buying next year's vegetable plants and seeds so we can enjoy learning about plants and watching them grow into edible produce. We hope you enjoy these fresh, tasty treats from our very own vegetable garden! Best wishes, Mrs Shaw
WANTED! Sports Kit sponsorship
Our upper key stage 2 sports kit needs replacing. We are keen to hear from any members of our community who would be willing to offer sponsorship. In return, the company name and logo would be printed on the sports shirts. If you think you could help us, please contact the school office using bursar@higham.lancs.sch.uk. Please note: company sponsorship will only be accepted from suitable ethical and age-appropriate companies
PTA Key Stage 2 Y6 Leavers' Disco
Tickets will be going on sale soon for our summer disco! All children in Y3, 4, 5 and 6 are invited. This is a special disco to say farewell to our Y6 pupils before they move on to secondary school. Look out for tickets on the School Gateway app.
